Our Plans

Please note: these rates include GST.

• Unlimited Dialup Plan
  Unlimited time and unlimited data for $24.95 per month. This service has a single national dial-up number which is a standard local call. Session times are limited to 4 hours, however you can reconnect immediately. There is a one-off establishment fee of $15.


• ADSL Broadband Plans
  We now offer high speed broadband services via ADSL. For more details please see our ADSL application page.

Legacy Plans

The following plans are our old rates and are being phased out.

• Registration fee (once off): $20
  
  
• Standard Plan: $32 / month for 30 hours / month
  This plan allows you up to 30 hours access over each calendar month. This plan includes up to 150 Mb of traffic, unrestricted access to the internet, an email address on our server and up to 10 Mb of personal web pages. Extra time over your 30 hours is charged at $1.50 per hour, with up to 5 Mb included for each extra hour. Extra traffic is charged at 16c/Mb.
  
  
• High Usage Plan: $84 for 120 hours
  This plan gives you 120 hours access at the hourly rate of $0.70 per hour. The 120 hours lasts up to 2 months i.e. any unused hours in the first month may carry over into the next month. This plan includes up to 500 Mb of traffic per 120 hours, and extra traffic is charged at 16c/Mb. Like the standard plan, this plan includes unrestricted access to the internet, an email address on our server and up to 10 Mb of personal web pages.
  
  
• Block (Low Usage) Plan: $64 for 30 hours
  Our most flexible plan allows you to simply buy a block of time to be used as you wish: there are no minimum monthly limits and the block is valid for up to a year. Again, there is unrestricted access to the internet and an email address. This plan does not however include free personal web pages. The plan includes up to 200 Mb of traffic, and extra traffic is charged at 16c/Mb.
  
  
• Maxi (Very High Usage) Plan: $48 for 200 hours or 200 Mb or 1 month
  Designed for very high personal usage, the Maxi plan has the lowest per-hour rate: as low as 24c/hour. There are no overtime or extra traffic charges on this plan, once you've used either a month or 200 hours or 200 Mb, whichever comes first, you simply buy the next block. Please note that this plan must be paid on a credit card, and, unlike our other plans, you may occasionally experience busy signals during our peak periods.
  
  
• Roaming Plan: $1.60 / hour (minimum charge $6 / month*)
  This plan gives you local call access to your OnTheNet account in all Australian capital cities and most major regional centers. This plan must be used in conjuction with one of our other access plans e.g. the Block (Low Usage) Plan. The charge for this plan is a flat rate of $1.60 per hour, with a minimum charge of $6 per calendar month* if the plan is used at all during that calendar month. There are no limits or additional charges for data downloads. If there has been no access to the roaming plan during the calendar month, the minimum charge does not apply. • 56K Permanent Link: $400 setup, $115 / month
  This plan has an initial setup fee of $400, and a standard ongoing fee of $115 per month. The setup fee covers a modem and phone line at OnTheNet, whilst the client must provide their own phone line and modem for their end. The monthly fee covers up to 500 Mb of incoming traffic and additional data is charged at 16c/Mb. There are no additional email account charges, assuming an suitable SMTP or POP3 server (e.g. MDaemon or XtraMail) at the client end.
  
  
• Business Hours Permanent Link: $100 setup, $60 / month
  This plan allows for a permanent link from 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. The monthly fee covers up to 300 Mb of incoming traffic and additional data is charged at 16c/Mb. Access outside these hours is available at 16c/Mb or $1/hr, whichever is more. There are no additional email account charges, assuming an suitable SMTP or POP3 server (e.g. MDaemon or XtraMail) at the client end.
  
  
• Commercial Web Pages
  Rates for commercial web pages hosted on our server start at $27 / month for up to 10 Megabytes of data storage and up to 500 Megabytes of data transferred per month. Additional storage is available at $5.00 per 10 Megabytes per month, and additional data transfer is $0.10 per Megabyte per month.
  
  
• Other Services
  We can provide a full range of internet services e.g. domain registration and hosting, web page development, web script development and inter/intranet consulting. Please contact us for details!
  
  

Joining

If you'd like to join OnTheNet, simply call us on 9347 2222 and we'll take you through the whole process over the telephone. We do require a pre-payment for the registration fee and the first lot of hours, so if you'd like to get going straight away you can either use your credit card number, or make a direct deposit into our bank account (and fax us a copy of the deposit slip along with your name). Otherwise you can send us a cheque or money order and we can connect you as soon as we receive your payment.
